We collect information you provide directly, including: your name and email address when you register; payment card information (processed and stored by Stripe — we never store raw card numbers); commitment details you create; and check-in activity. We automatically collect: usage data (pages visited, features used, timestamps); device and browser information; IP address and approximate location; and cookies and similar tracking technologies.
We use your information to: operate and provide the Service; process payments and enforce commitment charges; send transaction confirmations and reminder notifications; analyze usage to improve the platform; prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. Sworn does not store, transmit, or process raw card numbers. Stripe's collection and use of your payment information is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy (stripe.com/privacy). We store only the last 4 digits of your card, card brand, and Stripe customer/payment method IDs necessary to process charges.
We share your information with: Stripe (payment processing); Supabase (database and authentication infrastructure); email service providers for transactional emails; analytics providers (in aggregate, anonymized form); and law enforcement when required by law or to protect our legal rights. We do not share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Transaction history (including all charges) is retained for 7 years for legal and tax compliance purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data, subject to our retention obligations.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements); opt out of certain data processing; and data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@swornup.com. We will respond within 30 days.
We use essential cookies necessary for the Service to function (authentication sessions) and analytics cookies to understand how users use the platform. You can control cookie settings through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in.
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, bcrypt password hashing (via Supabase), and Row Level Security on our database to ensure users can only access their own data. However, no system is 100% secure. By using Sworn, you accept this inherent risk.
Sworn is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us at privacy@swornup.com and we will delete the account immediately.
