When you miss a commitment on Sworn, your card is charged. That money is gone. There are no refunds. No exceptions. No appeals. No grace periods. This is not fine print — it is the entire point of the platform.
The zero-refund policy is not an oversight. It is the mechanism that makes Sworn work. The entire premise of financial accountability is that the consequence must be real and certain. A refundable charge provides no accountability — it is simply a temporary inconvenience. An irrevocable charge is a real consequence.
If you could get your money back after missing a commitment, there would be no real stakes. There would be no real accountability. Sworn would be pointless. You signed up for Sworn because you wanted real consequences. This is what real consequences look like.
The zero-refund policy applies to all charges, without exception, including situations arising from:
Attempting to dispute a Sworn charge through your bank or card issuer (a "chargeback") is a breach of our Terms of Service. We will contest every chargeback with documentation of your signed agreement to these terms at account creation. Successful chargebacks will result in permanent account termination and may result in legal action to recover the disputed amount plus legal fees.
We take chargebacks seriously and maintain comprehensive records of every user agreement, commitment creation, and charge event for this purpose.
Monthly subscription fees (e.g., Sworn Pro) are also non-refundable, including for partial months. You may cancel at any time, and your access continues through the end of your billing period.
By creating a Sworn account, you have agreed to this policy in full. Questions? Email legal@swornup.com — but understand that the answer regarding refunds is always no.
